ABERDEEN, Maryland – Fairwinds Technologies and Terra Ferma are proud to announce an agreement whereby Fairwinds is the Master Distributor to the US Federal government for Terra Ferma, the only U.S. manufacturer of LiFi (Light Fidelity) and primarily focused on the military and government markets.
LiFi, often called “wireless fiber optics,” provides wireless networking using infrared light, rather than traditional radio frequency (RF) signals used in WiFi. Terra Ferma CEO, Dennis Roark, explains “Fairwinds experience and access to the federal government and defense industrial base, will complement Terra Ferma’s unique Helios enterprise-class LiFi solutions with critical delivery channels, engineering and support. We look forward to accelerating the proliferation of LiFi across the US government with Fairwinds.”
Per the agreement, Fairwinds’ focus will be U.S. DOD (all missions including Space), State Dept, all Federal Law Enforcement, the Department of Energy, NASA, the Intelligence Community, and NATO, with an emphasis on the U.K. Ministry of Defense (MOD).
