Fairwinds Technologies Selected to Design Prototype for National Advanced Mobility Consortium
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fairwinds Technologies announces that it has been named as one of two companies selected to develop a prototype 10kW bi-directional power converter and 6T format battery module that will provide applicable advanced capability to multiple Department of Defense (DoD) systems.
Proposals were submitted through the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC), which is an OTA-based, member-led, consortium comprised of 500+ innovators from U.S. industry and academia, who are dedicated to the development of manned and unmanned autonomy-enabled mobility systems and related technologies for the U.S. warfighter. Fairwinds Technologies became a member of NAMC in March, 2022.
“I am once again proud of the Fairwinds team and confident in our abilities to design a portable and effective prototype to meet DoD needs,” explains Jim Sprungle, CEO of Fairwinds Technologies.
Final decisions on the prototype design are expected in 2024.
